SL Fantasy Faire 2015

Aaaaah April, spring flowers, sunny days, and iced tea on the porch…

…Oh wait, that’s real life. In Second Life, the end of April can mean only one thing: SL Fantasy Faire time!!!! Woohoo!!!

Yes my virtual peeps, the SL Fantasy Faire is the most highly anticipated time of year for this virtual goddess who loves to play fae. The 2015 SL Fantasy Faire ran from April 23rd – May 3rd, and as usual, it just didn’t last long enough.

What is so special about the Fantasy Faire you ask?
Oh, I’m so glad you asked! Let me tell you 🙂

The Freebies and Fantastic Sales

Yes, it’s true, this gorgeous skin shown below was included in the set of two freebie low-lag (but high quality!) avvies given away at the Faire. The dress was a special Faire only item that sported a whopping L$50 price tag! I don’t know about you, but that’s enough to make this faery go squee!

The Shows

Particle shows, music and dance shows, shows with messages of love and hope. All were found at this year’s Faire! The pic below is from one of the many mind boggling and awe inspiring light and sound shows that were brought to us by the talented Faire performers.

The Fabulous Avvies

Ooooh the fabulous avvies! Naturally the Fantasy Faire is a magnet for all beings magical and fantastic. My favorite kind of beings 🙂 I was fortunate enough to spend some time chilling with my most wonderful and creative friends.

The Hunt

Aside from the previously mentioned freebies and bargains found throughout the Faire, there is a fun and challenging hunt that provides a plethora of high quality, squee-worthy prizes! There are so many, it usually takes weeks, months, even all year to go through them all, depending on how motivated I am, lol.

The Gorgeous Sim Builds
Last but not least, and perhaps my most favorite part of the SL Fantasy Faire: the fantastic sim builds. I am more awestruck and amazed by the breathtaking builds every year! And of course the hunt took us through all the sims and made sure we didn’t miss out on anything.

Ichi-go Ichi-e was one of my favorite sims in the 2015 SL Fantasy Faire.
The beautiful landing spot was a smaller version of the dance pavilion with its Elven arches and giant flowers.

I absolutely adored the buildings in the Sylvan of Spells!
Walls and foundations made from books, and gorgeous windows with stained wood leaves and flowers.

The sails and water of Valencia were captivating and beautiful enough to take my mind off any thoughts of seasickness.

The wonders found inside the stores and stalls were befitting of the beautiful sims where they were found. This was found in Valencia.
